Bristol, VA : Four injured, three hospitalized in Smyth County crash on Monday morning, March 20, 2017

A wreck involving a Smyth County school bus left four people injured, three hospitalized Monday morning.

Virginia State Police said the accident occurred when a pickup truck rear-ended a head-start bus when it was attempting to stop and pick up a child.

Troopers say one aid, the school bus driver and one child were sent to the hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the pick-up truck suffered injuries, but was not hospitalized. His name has not been released, but officers say he has been charged with following too closely to the bus.
