A Kissimmee woman was killed early Sunday morning after troopers say she crashed her car into a light pole in Orange County.
It happened at the intersection of Orange Avenue and Town Center Boulevard.
The Florida Highway Patrol said Jaileen Rodriguez, 22, was driving her vehicle southbound on Orange Avenue at a high rate of speed and for an unknown reason lost control of the vehicle and left the roadway. Investigators said the front of the vehicle then struck a light pole.
Troopers said Rodriguez was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center where she later died.
A passenger in her vehicle, 21-year-old Richard Santiago of Kissimmee, was transported to ORMC in serious condition.
