FAIRFIELD CO, OH : Woman killed after car crashes into water in Fairfield County on Thursday, January 5th 2017

Troopers say one person is dead after a car was found in water in Fairfield County.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, troopers were called to the 1800 block of Cincinnati-Zanesville Road SW, on the report of a vehicle in the water.

Troopers say Tracy L. Lowe, 44, of Logan was driving westbound on US 22, when she lost control of her vehicle and went into Clear Creek. The vehicle landed on its top.

The Lowe was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to troopers, light snow was falling at the time of the crash and weather may have played a role.

The roadway was closed in the area for several hours while troopers investigated.
