Suitland, MD : Camp Springs man killed trying to cross the street in Prince George’s on Saturday, December 6, 2014
A Camp Springs man was killed after being struck by two vehicles while crossing the street early Saturday in Suitland, police said Sunday.
Prince George’s County police said Oswaldo Augusto Mootoo, 75, was struck around 12:20 a.m. Saturday, in the 4500 block of Silver Hill Road. He died at the scene.
Mootoo was trying to cross the street when a vehicle struck him, authorities said. The vehicle did not stop. Mootoo was then struck by a second vehicle, whose driver didn’t stop either, police said.
Police said the first car involved was described as a small gray or silver sedan. It presumably would have front-end damage, possibly on the bumper or headlight area, hood, windshield or a combination of these areas. There is no description of the second vehicle.
