Berlin ,NH : 17 - Years old Girl Injured after losing control of her snowmobile and crashing into a tree On Thursday afternoon ,March 12th 2015

Authorities say a 17-year-old girl suffered leg injuries after losing control of her snowmobile and crashing into a tree in Jericho Mountain State Park.

Cailin Murphy of Raynham, Massachusetts, was operating a rented snowmobile and participating in a guided tour when she crashed Thursday afternoon. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. It's believed that her inexperience handling a snowmobile caused the crash.

New Hampshire Fish and Game Department officials say while a conservation officer was investigating the accident, a second member of Murphy's riding group crashed his snowmobile while rushing back to check on her. There were no injuries but the machine was damaged.
