Police say a Massachusetts teenager is dead after his car crashed into two telephone poles and hit a sport utility vehicle parked in a driveway.
Police say 19-year-old Timothy Swass, of Rehoboth, was driving his 1993 Ford Probe late Sunday night in Somerset when he crashed. Police responded to the scene around 11:30 p.m. and remained until early Monday morning.
Somerset firefighters extracted Swass from the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash is under investigation but Somerset police Chief George McNeil says speed may have been a factor.
National Grid workers were called in to fix the damaged poles.
