Fort Collins, CO : 21-year-old man died in single vehicle crash on I-25 near Carr on Monday morning, June 20, 2016

A 21-year-old Fort Collins man died Monday morning after losing control of his pickup truck on Interstate 25 near the Wyoming border.

Thomas Evans was driving southbound on I-25 near Carr, or mile marker 296, when he lost control, left the roadway and crashed at 10:21 a.m., according to the Weld County Coroner's office.

Evans died at the scene. His next of kin have been notified and an autopsy is scheduled.

Colorado State Patrol and Weld County Coroner's office are investigating Evans' death, which is at least the third traffic fatality in Weld County since Saturday. Two people died in separate crashes in Weld County over the weekend.
