Augusta, GA : Tanker truck crashes at PCS Nitrogen on Monday, 19th March 2018

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Division and the Augusta Richmond County Fire Department responded to an accident at PCS Nitrogen on Monday.

The accident occurred at 4:21 p.m. when the truck crashed through two security gates as the vehicle was leaving the facility, according to the sheriff’s office. The truck then landed in a drainage canal. The semi’s cab was partially submerged, and the driver was transported to AU Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The sheriff’s office reported there is no concern of a hazardous leak. The investigation is ongoing.
