NEWTOWN, CT : Serious crash closes Route 25 in Newtown on Tuesday, March 21st 2017

Newtown Police said Route 25 was expected to be closed overnight after a serious crash.
The accident occurred around 9 p.m. Tuesday in front of Sand Hill Plaza, on South Main Street between Brian Lane and Cold Spring Road, police said.
The street was expected to be closed for at least eight hours, police said.
Injuries were reported, but police provided no further details.
It is not known if the closure will affect the Wednesday morning commute.
