PALMYRA, MO : Couple die in crash near Palmyra on Saturday, 3rd September 2016

A couple from Laddonia died Saturday when the vehicle they were in crossed a median and struck another vehicle head-on.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Maureen Young, 73, was driving north on U.S. 61 in a 2016 Jeep Patriot. She lost control of the vehicle at 4:32 p.m., and the Jeep crossed the median about 10 miles north of Palmyra and struck a southbound 2010 GMC Sierra driven by Daniel Prisner, 53, of LaGrange.

Young and her passenger, Howard B. Young, 74, also of Laddonia, were not wearing seat belts, according to a report. They were pronounced dead by Marion County Coroner Darrell McCoy at 5:22 p.m.
