LEE COUNTY, FL : Tanker truck crash clogs SR-80 on Thursday, August 24, 2017

A semi tanker truck that crashed into two other vehicles in Alva caused traffic to bottleneck Thursday morning, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

It happened at the intersection of State Road 80 and Charleston Park Drive, just east of Joel Boulevard, in Lee County.

Troopers said one person was sent to Lee Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.

The inside eastbound lane was reopened, however, the outside lane is still closed, the report states.
