Marion County , FL : 25- Years old man died in Hih speed car Crash along U.S. 441 near Northwest 220th Street on Saturday , March 7th 2015

A Gainesville man is dead after a high-speed crash in Marion County.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers said Patrick Pacanins, 25, was southbound on U.S. 441 near Northwest 220th Street around 8:30 a.m. Saturday at a high rate of speed.

Pacanins lost control while exiting a curve and crashed head-on into trees, ejecting his passenger, 37-year-old Amanda Hall.

The car came to rest engulfed in flames.

Pacanins and Hall were both transported to UF Health Shands Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Hall remains hospitalized in critical condition.
