LAS VEGAS, NV : Driver fleeing crash strikes kills pedestrian on Sunday, 28th January 2024

Police are hoping the public can help locate a driver accused of running a red light, killing a pedestrian, and fleeing the scene.

According to Las Vegas Metropolitan police, on Sunday, Jan. 28, around 3:30 p.m., the driver of a GMC Sierra pickup truck struck a 34-year-old man in a marked crosswalk on W. Lake Mead Boulevard at Tonopah Drive.The driver of the 1992 black pickup truck (license plate# 958Y18) was fleeing from an earlier hit-and-run crash further west on Lake Mead Blvd. and was headed east when the pedestrian was struck, police said.
