A man is dead after a fatal hit-and-run near Louisville's Fairdale neighborhood Monday night.

At about 11 p.m., Louisville Metro Police responded to a pedestrian struck by a car in the 8200 block of National Turnpike, according to an LMPD news release.

The coroner's office identified the victim as 46-year-old Andrew Garner.
