Mill Creek,PA : Millcreek man critical following West 12th Street crash on January, Monday 22nd 2018

A Millcreek Township man remained in critical condition at UPMC Hamot Monday morning following a one-vehicle crash that shattered a utility pole and closed one lane of West 12th Street.

The crash happened on Monday at about 12:50 a.m., when a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica driven by 32-year-old Ramey VanZant of Millcreek was traveling west on West 12th Street when it drifted off the roadway and struck a utility pole near Hillborn Avenue, Millcreek police Sgt. Anthony Chimera said. VanZant was taken to UPMC Hamot, where he was in the intensive care unit in critical condition, Chimera said.

The curb lane of West 12th Street is closed at the scene of the crash while crews replace the damaged utility pole.
