Clermont County,OH : Woman killed in Clermont motorcycle crash on July, Sunday 2nd 2017

A woman was killed after she was thrown from the back of a motorcycle in Clermont County on Sunday.

Dona J. Day, 53, of Middletown was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center by helicopter after the single-vehicle crash on Ohio 28 near Romar Drive in Miami Township. She was pronounced dead early Monday at the hospital.

Day was a passenger on a 2001 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by Terrance J. Willis, 61, of Cincinnati. The motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Ohio 28 when Willis lost control of the vehicle, which then overturned and ejected Willis and Day.

Willis was also taken via helicopter to UC hospital with incapacitating injuries.

The Batavia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

Neither Willis nor Day were wearing a helmet or any other protective equipment at the time of the crash. Investigators said alcohol and or drugs are believed to be a factor in the crash.
