Chicago, IL : Kristin Cavallari injured in car crash on Thursday afternoon, January 21, 2016

Kristin Cavallari was involved in a car crash Thursday afternoon.

The 29-year-old designer was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, including a dislocated elbow, after her vehicle was hit by another car.

"She was hit by another driver in Chicago," the star's rep, Jack Ketsoyan, said in a statement. "She is doing fine and will be discharged from the hospital shortly."

Sources told news outlets none of Cavallari's three children were in the vehicle at the time, although her husband, Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, showed up at the hospital shortly after her arrival. Police also arrived to take a report.

Cavallari's crash comes just weeks after her older brother, Michael Cavallari, was found dead at age 30. Her sibling, who had a troubled history, was reported missing days before his body was found outside Salt Lake City, Utah, on Jan. 10.

"We want to thank everyone for their love, support and prayers," the designer said at the time. "This is a very painful time, and we are still processing it all. We kindly ask everyone please respect our privacy during our time of grieving."

Cavallari and Cutler married in June 2013, and share 3-year-old son Camden, 20-month-old son Jax and 2-month-old daughter Saylor. The designer came to fame on MTV reality series Laguna Beach and The Hills, while Cutler has been with the Bears since 2009.
