Plain City,OH : 16-year-old dies from injuries sustained in Plain Township crash that killed 18-year-old brother on December, Thursday 7th 2017
A 16-year-old boy who was injured in a crash that killed his brother in Plain Township this week has also passed away.
Kevin Laudermilt, 16, sustained serious injuries in the Dec. 7 crash that killed his 18-year-old brother Aaron Laudermilt.
He was being treated at Akron Children's Hospital but died from his injuries on Dec. 10, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Authorities say Aaron was driving a 2008 Ford Crown Victoria on Middlebrach Avenue when he sped around a curve and went off the edge of the road. When he overcorrected, the car went off the opposite edge and hit a utility pole. The vehicle then hit a large tree and turned onto its right side, coming to a stop on the front steps of a private residence.
Aaron was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials say both teens were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors.
