Ocean City, MD : 61-year-old New Jersey father and his four daughters were killed in a car crash on Friday, 6th July 2018

For the Trinidad family of Teaneck, New Jersey, it seemed like any other trip to Ocean City, Maryland.

The family of six was on its way to a summer vacation on the shoreline when tragedy struck. On Friday, the family was traveling on Route 1 in the town of Townsend, Delaware when a pick-up truck drifted across the grassy median and clipped a sedan before spinning out of control and into the path of the Trinidad’s minivan.Sixty-one-year-old Audie Trinidad, 20-year-old Kaitlyn Trinidad, 17-year-old Danna and 13-year-old twins Melissa and Allison were all killed.

Fifty-three-year-old Mary Rose Ballocanag was the only member of the Trinidad family to survive the crash. She has been hospitalized at a Delaware hospital with broken ribs, arms and legs, according to the Washington Post.

Audie Trinidad’s brother, Daniel, spoke with the New York Post and expressed his concern for Mary Rose.
