Port Austin,MI : One dead in head-on collision in West Bloomfield Township on April, Thursday 12th 2018

A head-on collision in West Bloomfield Township resulted in one death on Thursday, April 12.

West Bloomfield police say a Honda Insight that was traveling east on Pontiac Trail and a Lincoln MKZ traveling west collided at the intersection of Halsted Road at about 10 a.m.

A man driving the Honda was taken to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

A woman driving the Lincoln was injured and was taken to an area hospital.

Both drivers were the sole occupants of their vehicles.

The accident remains under investigation.

The intersection was closed while police investigated but has since reopened.
