GRATIOT COUNTY, MI : M-46 closed nearly 9 hours after semi-truck crash in Gratiot County on Thursday, 25th January 2024

A stretch of M-46 was closed for most of Thursday in Gratiot County after a pickup truck and semi-truck crashed.

The Gratiot County Sheriff's Office says a 30-year-old man was driving a pickup truck north on Warner Road and ran a stop sign at M-46 around 9:30 a.m. He collided with a semi-truck driving west on M-46.

The collision caused the semi-truck to jackknife and go off the road, where the tanker trailer became unhooked and rolled onto its side.

An ambulance rushed the Mount Pleasant man to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. A 53-year-old man from Auburn driving the semi-truck did not report any injuries from the crash.
