Ukiah, CA : Ukiah man died in I-5 crash on Friday, 14th February, 2020

The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the cause of a Friday evening collision that killed a motorist from Ukiah.Officer Rodney Fitzhugh said the three-vehicle crash occurred shortly before 4:30 p.m. on southbound Interstate 5 south of County Road 102, where a Volkswagen had been traveling ahead of a Chevrolet.“For an unknown reason, the driver of the Chevrolet was unable to slow or stop his vehicle prior to colliding with the Volkswagen,” Fitzhugh said in a news release. “As a result of this collision the Volkswagen was pushed in a southerly direction, where it collided with a Ford.”

The Volkswagen driver, identified by Yolo County coroner’s officials Tuesday as 40-year-old Jose Molina Felix of Ukiah, died at the scene, Fitzhugh said.
