Washington County, OR : Couple hurt, and dog killed when SUV and trailer crash Sunday June 29th 2014.

A husband and wife from Clackamas on their way home from the beach crashed their SUV and the trailer it was pulling along Highway 6 about 4 p.m. Sunday, according to Oregon State Police. Glenda Depue was airlifted to Legacy Emanuel Hospital and was listed in fair condition Sunday night. The driver, Shannon Depue, was taken to the hospital as a precaution but has since been released.

Oregon State Police said they were not impaired but are investigating whether speed was a factor in the crash. Both were wearing seat belts.One dog riding in the SUV died in the crash and another was taken to a nearby veterinarian, state police said.

When the trailer crashed into a ditch, it ripped into pieces. It took road crews a couple hours and a crane to get it out, break it down and tow it away. They removed at least two ATVs from the trailer. The SUV was also smashed and destroyed.
