State police say an 81-year-old man has been killed after the car he was driving without headlights was hit by a tractor-trailer pulling onto a southwestern Pennsylvania highway.
Troopers from Somerset were continuing to investigate the crash that killed William Lewis, of Stoystown.
Police say Lewis was driving on Route 281 in Somerset Township when the tractor trailer pulled onto the highway from a convenience store parking lot about 5:40 a.m. Monday.
The truck driver tells police he didn't see Lewis' car for lack of headlights, before the car hit the truck's front driver's-side wheel.
The truck driver wasn't hurt and was not immediately cited in the crash.
