Menomonie, WI : One person serious injuries when a car and semi-truck collided on U.S. 12 and Highway BB in the town of Menomonie on Monday, March 27, 2017

One person received serious injuries when a car and semi-truck collided on U.S. 12 and Highway BB in the town of Menomonie and the car caught fire Monday.
The northbound car on 390th Street failed to stop for a stop sign at U.S. 12. While crossing U.S. 12 toward Highway BB the car was struck by a westbound semi-truck and trailer, according to a news release from Dunn County Sheriff Dennis Smith.

Menomonie Fire Department firefighters extinguished the car fire and provided care to the driver who was transported to Mayo Clinic Health Systems – Red Cedar Menomonie.
The crash was reported at 9:16 a.m. Monday. It remains under investigation by the Dunn County Sheriff’s Department. The Wisconsin State Patrol Re-Con Team was called in to assist at the scene. The road was closed for about three hours Monday morning and traffic detoured.
