New York, NY : Pedestrian killed in hit-run crash in Queens on Wednesday night, April 1, 2015

Police are looking for the driver who fled after striking and killing a pedestrian in Queens.

The male victim was crossing 46th Avenue midblock when he was struck by a vehicle Wednesday night.

Police say the 61-year-old man suffered severe head trauma. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced died.

The incident occurred east of Utopia Parkway.

His identity was withheld pending family notification.
