Mound City, S.D : 25-year-old woman died after a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 83 in Campbell County on Monday morning, July 18, 2016

A two-vehicle crash in Campbell County killed a 25-year-old woman.

The Highway Patrol did not immediately identify the victim of the Monday morning crash south of Mound City.

The woman was in a car that collided head-on with a pickup truck on U.S. Highway 83 about 8:15 a.m. The patrol says the woman was traveling north, and the crash happened in the northbound lane.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The 34-year-old man driving the pickup suffered injuries described as serious but not life-threatening.
