Mansfield , OH : 44 -Years old good Samaritan Killed While helping injured pedestrian struck by a different vehicle and knocked into a snow bank On Monday , March 2nd 2015

Police say a man was fatally run over as he helped a woman who had just been struck by a different vehicle and knocked into a snow bank as she walked along an icy Ohio road.

Police in Mansfield say the 44-year-old man may have saved the life of a second good Samaritan on Monday. The Mansfield News Journal (http://bit.ly/18IR1w2 ) reports he gave that woman the reflective vest he was wearing and switched spots with her so his back was to traffic just before a second driver lost control and hit the trio.

The man became trapped under the car and was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Detective Sgt. Ken Carroll of the Mansfield police says the two women went to a hospital with injuries that weren't life-threatening.
