AMELIA COUNTY, VA : 1 killed, 1 with serious injuries in 2-vehicle crash in Amelia County on Sunday, 16th June 2019

Virginia State Police are investigating a fatal crash that took place over the weekend in Amelia County.

Authorities responded to a two-vehicle crash on June 16 on Five Forks Road at 8:53 p.m., police said. The crash, a mile west of Route 267, occurred when two vehicles collided in the east lane of the road. The crash caused one of the vehicles, a 2002 Nissan SUV, to catch fire.

The driver of the Nissan was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The person killed has yet to be identified. The driver of the other vehicle, Kassi L. Glass, was airlifted to VCU Medical Center with serious injuries. Glass is a 20-year-old from Amelia County.
