BARTON, VT : Man killed in one-car crash in northern Vermont on Saturday, February 25th 2017

State police say a crash killed a 73-year-old Brownington man in the northern Vermont town of Barton.

Police say David Yanacheak was the sole occupant of a vehicle that appeared to veer off the side of a road and into a drainage ditch, where it collided with a cement culvert. They say the crash occurred on Saturday at about 3:45 p.m.

Police say Yanacheak was being transported to a hospital when he died from his injuries. They say neither speed nor impairment appear to be factors in the crash, which is still under investigation.
