Two teenage boys were seriously injured early Sunday morning in a single-vehicle crash south of Grenora.
According to the Highway Patrol, a 15-year-old boy was driving a pickup truck north on County Road Five about 6 a.m. when he fell asleep. The truck drifted onto the shoulder, waking the driver, who overcorrected and lost control. The truck rolled over several times in a field, throwing both the driver and passenger, also 15 years old, out of the vehicle.
Both boys were taken to the hospital in Williston, where the driver was transferred by air to Minot and the passenger flown to Fargo for treatment.
The teenagers, both of whom are from Grenora, were heading from Bainville, Montana, to Grenora at a speed of about 65 mph, police say. No update on their condition was immediately available on Monday morning.
