Bridgeport, CT : Sacred Heart University student Kaitlyn Doorhy dies from injuries sustained in pedestrian accident near sorority house in Bridgeport on Friday, August 22, 2014
A junior at Sacred Heart University in Bridgeport suffered serious injuries after she was struck by a car Friday.
The victim was identified Friday night as Kaitlyn Doorhy, of Mattituck, New York. The driver of the vehicle has been identified as Brandon M. Pouncie, 28, of Bridgeport.
The incident remains under investigation. At this time, no charges have been filed.
Doorhy was crossing Madison Avenue at around 12:30 p.m., when a red Nissan going northbound hit her. She was taken to Saint Vincent’s Hospital where she is being treated for her injuries.
A friend who was with the woman is ok, but in shock and very upset over what happened.
