Casa Grande, OH : 1 dead in car crash on westbound I-10 near McCartney Road near Casa Grande on Tuesday, 26th February 2019

A two-car crash Tuesday morning on Interstate 10 left one person dead, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

The fatal crash occurred at 4:42 a.m. on westbound I-10 near McCartney Road near Casa Grande, DPS spokesman Kameron Lee said in an email.

One person was taken to a hospital where he died, Lee said.

DPS is investigating whether or not impairment was a factor in the crash, Lee explained.

The crash blocked the right lane, and DPS anticipated the road would fully reopen by 7:30 a.m., Lee stated.
