Hutchinson, KS : 47-year-old man killed in pedestrian accident in Indiana Wednesday morning, March 29, 2017

A 47-year-old Hutchinson man died after he was hit by a pickup truck while crossing a street in Goshen, Indiana, Wednesday morning.

According to press reports, Brian O. Belote died at the scene of the 5:52 a.m. accident on the city’s southeast side.

Belote was walking across Kercher Road when hit by a Ford F-150 pickup driven by Bruce Selnor, 52, of Ashley, Indiana.

Selnor told police he did not see Belote until just before striking him.

The street runs along an industrial area of the town of about 32,000, but is just east of an area of town offering shopping, dining and a hotel.
