LAKELAND, FL : Cyclist hospitalized after crash at the intersection of North Florida Avenue and George Jenkins Boulevard on Friday, 27th March, 2020

A bicyclist is hospitalized after colliding with a semi Friday afternoon, and motorists are advised to avoid the area because of lane closures.
The crash happened at the intersection of North Florida Avenue and George Jenkins Boulevard, according to the Lakland Police Department.The bicyclist was transported to Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center with injuries that do not appear to be life-threatening, police said.
The southbound lanes of North Florida Avenue and the eastbound lanes of George Jenkins Boulevard are closed.
