VERONA, WI : Woman dead after rollover crash in town of Verona on Wednesday, 1st November 2023

A woman died after a crash Sunday morning in the town of Verona, the Dane County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday.

First responders were called to the area of County Highway PB north of Purcell Road just after 11 a.m. Officials said a 47-year-old Madison man was traveling south in a Jeep Grand Cherokee on County Highway PB when he crashed into a Toyota Rav4 that was turning left into a driveway.

The man lost control of the Jeep and the vehicle rolled over multiple times. The man was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. His passenger, a 39-year-old woman was also taken to a hospital but later died. Her name has not yet been released.
