SCOTTSDALE, AZ : A wrong-way crash that killed one driver and injured another on Friday, July 21, 2017

A Phoenix-area freeway is partially closed following a wrong-way crash that killed one driver and injured another.

The crash early Friday morning on southbound State Route 101 in Scottsdale left two passenger vehicles severely damaged.

The Arizona Department of Transportation says there’s no estimate when southbound SR 101 will reopen at Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard.

Northbound lanes remain open.
