Concord ,NC : Speed and alcohol factor in deadly Concord wreck on Saturday Morning ,June 13th 2015

A man is facing charges after a deadly car accident involving alcohol, Concord police said.

Steve Sankar, 24, was driving southeast on Central Heights Drive Saturday morning when his 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo drove off the road and hit a tree, police said. The car rolled over and the passenger, Devon Hemmingway, 23, was thrown from the car, according to officials.

The accident happened just past the Kiser Woods Drive intersection at about 1:35 a.m., officials said.
