Clinton , MI :54- Years Kerry Ball Canton Fire Division Chief killed in motorcycle crash on Friday ,May 1 2015

The Canton Fire Department confirms that its Division Chief was killed in a motorcycle accident.

Troopers say the crash happened on May 1, around 6:50 p.m. on North Lawrence Road near Warwick Road in the Village of Clinton.

Investigators say Kerry Ball, 54, of Canal Fulton was heading southbound when he veered off the roadway and hit a guardrail. Ball was pronounced dead at the scene.

Alcohol is not considered a factor in the crash. Ball was not wearing a helmet at the time. The investigation into the crash is continuing.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Swigart Easterling funeral home in Canal Fulton from 4:00P.M. to 7:00P.M. A funeral mass is at Queen of the Heavens Church in Green, on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 AT 10:00A.M.
