Boonville, N.Y : New Jersey snowmobiler killed in wreck in central New York on Friday, March 17, 2017
Authorities say a snowmobiler from New Jersey has been killed after crashing into a bridge in central New York.
Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol (MAY’-shuhl) says the wreck happened around 10:45 p.m. Friday on a trail in the town of Boonville. It’s about 65 miles northeast of Syracuse.
Maciol says snowmobiler Michael Stanley of Old Tappan, New Jersey, missed a leftward curve in the trail and veered off it, hitting a concrete bridge.
The 44-year-old Stanley was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
