South Carolina Highway Patrol is an investigating a double fatal accident involving to vehicles. It happened around 2:05am Sunday, September 11 near Walterboro.
Highway Patrol says a vehicle was driving North on U.S 15 when a driver in a Jeep Cherokee was believed to have crossed the center line hitting the car.
Highway Patrol says driver and the passenger in the vehicle that was hit died on scene. Colleton County Coroner Richard Harvey identified the driver as Sidney Beach, 54, of Walterboro. The passenger was identified as Janice Lemacks, 45, of Walterboro.
Both drivers were not wearing seatbelts.
The driver of the Jeep Cherokee was taken immediately to Trident Hospital.
Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
