Tuscaloosa, AL : Moundville man killed in crash early Tuesday, March 7, 2017

A Moundville man was killed in a crash early Tuesday.

James Horace Free, 76, was killed when the 1995 Dodge Ram he was driving struck several trees on the side of Cutoff Road and landed in a pond, according to Alabama State Troopers.

Free was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the truck and died at the scene, according to troopers.

The crash happened at 5:20 a.m. about five miles south of Moundville. Troopers are continuing to investigate.
