Erie, PA : Officer unhurt in crash involving Erie police cruiser on Thursday evening, March 9, 2017
An Erie Bureau of Police officer escaped injury when a vehicle collided with his police cruiser Thursday evening at the intersection of West 38th and Cherry streets.
The officer was responding to a call with the cruiser's sirens and lights operating when the collision occurred, police said.
The crash occurred just before 7 p.m. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to Saint Vincent Hospital for treatment, authorities said.
The crash is under investigation.
