Long Prairie, MN : Sauk Centre man seriously injured in a collision involving a semitrailer on U.S. Highway 71 on Tuesday, April 12, 2016

A Sauk Centre man was seriously injured in a collision involving a semitrailer on U.S. Highway 71, according to the State Patrol.

The report said a Chevrolet Silverado driven by Eugene Yarke, 80, was southbound on Highway 71 when he attempted to turn left into a gas station in front of a semi driven by Juan Hernandez Mendoza, 51, of Long Prairie. The semi then collided with Yarke's vehicle before entering a ditch and rolling over.

The report said Yarke suffered serious injuries. Mendoza did not appear to injured.
