Hickory , NC : One peson killed in Crash after Vehicle crash along Kool Park Road on Friday afternoon ,April 10th 2015

At least one person was killed in a vehicle crash in Hickory on Friday afternoon, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol (NCSHP).

The wreck happened just before 1:30 p.m. on Kool Park Road NE, right in front of a mobile home community.

Officials have not released much information about the accident, but NCSHP confirmed the crash is fatal.

emergency crews investigated the crash. The road was shut down and the entire area was taped off.

The accident appeared to involve a dump truck, with a full load of soil, and a black SUV. Both the dump truck and the SUV appeared to be heavily damaged.

Officials have not said how the wreck may have happened or if any other injuries were reported.
