LAS VEGAS, NV : Motorcyclist dead following suspected DUI crash in northeast Las Vegas valley on Friday, 4th August 2023

A motorcyclist has died following a crash in the northeastern Las Vegas valley on Friday morning, police say.

According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the collision occurred at East Owens Avenue and North Walnut Road around 6:28 a.m. Evidence at the scene and statements from witnesses indicate a 2007 GMC Yukon traveled eastbound on East Owens Avenue, approaching North Walnut Road. At the same time, a 2009 Harley-Davidson VRSCDX traveled westbound on East Owens Avenue, approaching North Walnut Road.

Police say the collision occurred when the GMC conducted a left turn to travel north as the Harley-Davidson reached the intersection, causing the GMC to rotate.

The collision also ejected the Harley-Davidson’s rider onto the roadway, who was later pronounced dead by medical personnel.
