Polk County, FL : Ocala man injured in fatal Polk County crash on Wednesday, 29th August 2018

An Ocala man was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash that also killed one passenger and injured another in what Florida Highway Patrol troopers said was an alcohol-related accident in Polk County. The crash occurred on Wednesday morning.

The Ocala man, Danny Ray O’Connell, 63, was transported to Lakeland Regional Health Hospital in Lakeland after the crash, according to FHP troopers. O’Connell was wearing a seat belt at the time of the wreck, troopers said.
