ORONO, MN : Teens driving stolen vehicle crash into garage near Lake Minnetonka leave behind gaping hole on Tuesday, 16th January 2024

It was a busy night for multiple police departments in the Lake Minnetonka area after several teenagers left a trail of destruction in their failed attempts to flee from police.

Police say it all started around 8:30 p.m. when a BMW SUV was reported stolen on Togo Road in Orono. Several homes in that area also reported thefts from vehicles around the same time.

As officers in the area started looking for the stolen vehicle, police encountered a car similar to the description of the car and started to pursue it. At that time, the SUV accelerated and crashed into a garage on Shoreline Drive.
