At least one person was in custody after a pursuit and brief chase led to a collision Wednesday night, authorities said.
Just before 9:30 p.m., police on patrol near 78th and Bancroft avenues encountered a vehicle whose driver was sought on a felony warrant, Oakland police Officer John O’Reilly said.
After officers asked for and received permission to pursue, a brief chase ensued, ending with the driver complying with commands and getting arrested.
Officers called out to request paramedics for a vehicle crash near 88th Avenue and Dowling Street, but no word was immediately available on injuries, O’Reilly said.
