HOOVER, AL : Suspects in custody after fatal I-459 crash in Hoover on Friday, 9th February 2024

One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash on I-459 SB in Hoover Friday morning.

According to the Hoover Police Department, the crash happened on I-459 SB between Hwy 31 and John Hawkins Parkway around 10:09 a.m. One of the vehicles involved left the roadway and struck a tree.

Witnesses described three vehicles speeding on I-459. One of the vehicles, a Nissan Sentra, left the roadway and struck a tree after being hit by another vehicle. One person inside the Nissan was pronounced dead at the scene. A second person was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
